Doctoral Researcher

Mariam is an architect and doctoral researcher in the InterReal research project. She holds dual master’s degrees in architecture and architectural sciences: specializing in urban cultures and spatial production in virtual reality.

She combines her urban and virtual design expertise in her current research where she focuses on understanding and promoting spatial agency in cocreated virtual spaces.

Mariam’s research interests include XR, hybrid spatial narratives, sustainable urban development, and alternative ways of doing architecture.
